Episode Forty-Three: Jean Spangler
On October 7 1949, Jean Spangler left her home in Los Angeles around 5pm. She left her daughter with her sister-in-law Sophie, and said that she was meeting her former husband to discuss a late child support payment and after that, she was going to work on a night shoot for a film.
Two days later, Jean's purse was found in a local park, with both of the straps on one side torn loose as if it had been ripped from her arm. There was nothing missing but there was an unfinished, cryptic note addressed to an unknown man.
Several strange sightings were reported of Jean from the night she disappeared as well as the weeks following however none were verified and Jean was never seen again.
Thank you to Nina from Already Gone podcast for giving Jean a voice.
