Episode Forty-Two: Gareth Williams
Welsh mathematician, 31-year-old Gareth Williams had recently received an exciting opportunity in his caeer and was seconded to the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6).
On August 23 2010, after missing work for a week and being unreachable via phone, police did a welfare check on Gareth at the Security Service safe house in London he was staying at. There they found Gareth in a red carryall, zipped up and padlocked from the outside. No fingerprints, hand prints or traces of Gareths's DNA were found on the rim of the bath, the bag zip or the bag padlock. A key to the padlock was inside the bag, underneath his body.
What follows is a media frenzy of rumors, speculation and false truths. Not only created by the media, but some believe stem from the investigation itself.
